Fitness In Cape May
Fitness in Cape May is easy to come by: several gyms and programs in the area offer classes in yoga, Zumba and other methods, while the town’s inspiring seaside location can help boost your energy. Here you will find our complete run-down on some of the best ways to exercise while staying at Stockton Inns!
Guests who will be heading north of the canal can check out the North Beach Health Club. This club is a large 11,000 square foot facility that offers many group fitness classes such as H.I.I.T training, yoga, pilates, and much more. They have state-of-the-art equipment which include a fully-equipped cardio deck, free weights, and plenty of other workout machines. You can get a one-visit pass for $20 or a two-visit pass for $30. *Fees and hours are subject to change.
While this gym offers yoga sessions in conjunction with their other classes, special enthusiasts of the practice may enjoy a round of yoga on the beach during their vacation. These can be arranged with one of the three studios exclusively devoted to yoga in Cape May: Cape May Yoga, Balance Yoga and Pilates and Yoga Cape May. As all of them offer a variety of classes in different places across town, we recommend consulting their schedules to find a place and time that best aligns with your visit.
A different approach to fitness can also be experienced through Zumba classes. These are based in the rhythms of World music and dance styles, aerobic exercise that anyone can do! Low-impact yet highly effective, Zumba can be a great way to stay in shape while still having fun on your vacation. Both of the Cape May gyms mentioned above offer Zumba classes along with their other services. To avoid extra fees, you can also find one-time classes through the official Zumba website. These classes are held at locations like the Convention Hall and Civic Center.
Finally, our visitors can easily exercise on the beaches of Cape May, located directly outside of Stockton Inns! Burn extra calories by jogging in the sand, or take to the boardwalk that runs along the length of Beach Avenue before turning onto Broadway and Pittsburgh. Both of these streets have bike paths, and the boardwalk is also open to biking before 10am! Please keep in mind that, from this time until 5:00, you will need a beach tag to access Cape May beaches. Single, 3-day and week-long tags are available at beach entrances and City Hall.
Between these natural resources and the many fitness centers around our accommodations, there’s no shortage of ways to work out in Cape May. Keep your goals up and feel great throughout your stay at Stockton Inns!
