Cape May Activities
Besides the pristine white sand beaches and lively boardwalk promenade that make Cape May the “Queen of the Seaside Resorts,” you could fill the rest of your days walking or biking the streets to admire the town’s rich history and architectural diversity. Cape May contains over 600 authentic 19th century framed buildings. With Stockton Inns located in the primary historic district and at the geographic center of the beachfront, just head out the door and start exploring!
Other Cape May activities to consider are: a day trip to the 1859 Cape May lighthouse with its panoramic views of the bay, Jersey shore and Atlantic Ocean; a narrated architectural and/or historical tour by trolley or horse and buggy (with knowledgeable guides from the Mid-Atlantic Center for Arts and Humanities); an eco-tour of the salt marshes by kayak for wildlife viewing and birding activity; shopping and dining on Washington Street Mall, just a five minute walk from Stockton Inns; touring the local wineries; and a visit to Cape May Point and Sunset Beach, for the nightly, powerful flag-lowering ceremony dedicated to our fallen soldiers.
Be sure to check out all of the activities in the area. Our Cape May rooms allow for a perfect place to relax after a long day visiting all the area attractions. Book your room today.
