Cape May Beer Scene

Although Cape May became a wine lover’s destination first, recently breweries and microbreweries have brought Cape May beer into the spotlight.

Naturally, the most notable is the Cape May Brewing Company, which opened in 2011 and now offers a wide selection of craft beers.

The taproom is open every day from noon to 8 p.m. for tours and tastings. Tours are free but operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Or, try the Tour & Tasting Package for $10, which includes four four-ounce samples of your choice and more.

Children are welcome if accompanied with an adult and can enjoy a pint of root beer after the tour while you sample beers in the tasting room.

Another fantastic brewery is Behr Brewing. Located 15 minutes north of Stockton Inns, Behr Brewery is serving up great pints that all beer lovers will enjoy. They are open daily 12pm to 9pm.
