Cape May Food Tours
Cape May Food Tours is a fun and tasty way to explore Cape May! Cape May is already on the culinary map for its excellent restaurants and amazing food, but if you want to combine the tastes of Cape May with a guided walking tour, you may want to try a Cape May Food Tour on your next trip.
These tours do last three hours where you’ll walk approximately 1.5 miles, but include tastings and some historical information about our city. You’ll visit restaurants, cafes, and specialty shops along the way as history meets our modern city. Many of the dishes are crafted especially for the tour and use many locally sourced and fresh ingredients.
The company has won TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence two years in a row and has won the Best of Cape May in 2014. It can be a great introduction to the city, or a fun way to try new restaurants you haven’t had the chance to visit yet.
There are two different tours available: the historic downtown food tour or West Cape May food tour. Both tours visit six eateries, so it’s really dependent on which neighborhood you’re more interested in. Some of the locations visited on the historic food tour includes: The Mad Batter, Freda’s Café, Cape May Peanut Butter Company, and Fudge Kitchen. Some of the locations you’ll visit on the West Cape May tour includes: Good Earth Organic Eatery, Cape May Honey Farm, Seaside Cheese Company, and Westside Market.
Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance and children are permitted on the tour but will need a valid ticket, unless they are under the age of 1 and will not be doing any of the tastings. Tours are limited to 11 guests though you can always schedule a private group tour of your own if you have at least 10 people. You can purchase tickets online through Zerve.
