Cape May Stage

Cape May is known for its Victorian heritage and preservation of the culture of its past. Besides our houses and inns, Cape May continues a classic tradition of going to the theater!

The Cape May Stage offers a delightful mix of main stage productions and its Broadway Series with talented and renowned performers hitting the spotlight on Monday nights.

The Robert Shackleton Playhouse of Cape May Stage is on the National Register of Historic Places and many Cape May residents contributed to its preservation and restoration efforts. Though it’s an intimate theater, seating 134 people, its productions are larger than life. The theater’s mission is “to produce stimulating and intellectually provocative theatrical work at a high level of professional competence; draw from and enrich the Cape May community; facilitate theatrical development and collaborations; and provide an educational theatrical resource for the community.”

The Cape May Stage is located at 31 Perry St. and the box office can be reached at 609-770-8311. You can also purchase tickets on its website.
